Small charities – free support for CRM – Economic Change

Calling Small Charities – Apply for free Salesforce CRM Support

Application Round open now .

We are looking to offer small charities some free days of Salesforce CRM implementation support that are installing a new Salesforce instance and would like help to get it up and running.

Salesforce can help a charity to manage a range of different functions including Service Delivery, Volunteer Management, Impact Measurement, Sales, Fundraising, HR, Marketing, and Project Management.

Over 26,000 charities use Salesforce. A big incentive is being able to apply for 10 free user licenses via the Salesforce.org Power of Us Programme.

Eligible charities who apply for our free support offer will be selected to participate in this scheme on a first come first served basis. Projects must start in June 2017 for this particular application round and be completed by October 2017.

Why free support?

As a social enterprise we are disrupting the market place. There is a skill shortage in the Salesforce industry and as a result the recruiters are pushing up the salaries of existing resource as companies compete for what is available. This is pushing up our day rates and subsequently consultancy services are becoming increasingly expensive and inaccessible for small charities. We therefore decided to tackle these two issues:

  • Launch a Trainee programme, to train up female returners to work as Salesforce Administrators, . Our management team have all previously worked for organisations that support disadvantaged people into work, so it’s a natural fit for us.
  • Offer a more affordable support packages to small eligible charities who couldn’t afford full consultancy rates to help implement better systems and have an improve chance for sustainability. The chosen CRM projects will provide our trainees with practical experience. The trainees will be managed by our in-house team of experts to ensure an excellent system is designed, built and implemented.

As a result, when our trainees have certified, we hope to have a more affordable support service with skilled staff that we can offer to non-profits clients.

What type of projects are we looking for?

The implementation needs to be achievable for our trainees, so we are focused on projects that will utilise Salesforce Administration skills, rather than developer or third party app skills.

The project would be focused on implementing Salesforce to manage specific business services e.g. HR, Service Delivery, Impact Measurement, Sales or Fundraising. The scope of the work would need be defined within the inception meeting with our consultant and requirements agreed that fit within the fixed budget.

Matchfunding the free support – The charity is expected to fund 50%  of the work.
