Speakers

Alex Youel, Managing Director, Your Membership Matters

Alex is an experienced business consultant with membership and customer-focused organisations. He works with clients on membership matters of every description, researching and then fixing problems, identifying opportunities, assisting with staff recruitment, creating strategies and helping them to realise their business goals. He spent 16 years at the National Trust in roles ranging from visitor marketing, membership management, visitor experience and fundraising to CRM and web implementations.

Alex founded his own specialist membership consultancy in 2011, with clients including VisitEngland,  the Association of Independent Museums (AIM), the Royal Institution, the Royal Oak Foundation, the Association for Cultural Enterprises (ACE), the National Motor Museum Trust at Beaulieu and Watts Gallery Artists’ Village.

Heather Black, Managing Director, our Company

Heather will be speaking about using Salesforce CRM for membership management, membership platforms and and online communities. She is an expert in business strategy, and has worked with and supported many third sector membership based organisations to implement Salesforce CRM and partner apps to manage a range of business functions.

Matt Harrison, Director of Business & Social Enterprise, Homeless Link 

Homeless Link is a membership body for organisations and individuals working with homeless people around England. Matt has built and developed the Social Enterprise arm of a major national 2nd tier charity generating £2 million annually in self-generated income. As well as using Salesforce for membership management, they have also created a significant app on the Salesforce platform called In-form which they sell to their members as a customised off-the-shelf CRM to record the journeys through homelessness of tens of thousands people.  He has transformed a charity dependent on government grants and fundraising to a social business generating 70% of income from sales, licences and contracts.
