The 15th October is designated as the #BuySocial campaign, organised by Social Enterprise UK.

Buy Social is celebrating the impact social enterprises are having on communities across the UK and around the world. It’s about raising the profile of a different way of doing business – one which puts people, communities and the planet at the heart of how it works.

our Company was set up as a Community Interest Company in 2012 as we wanted to support charities with digital solutions at an affordable price and to reinvest our profit into great causes.

In October 2016 we launched Supermums, an initiative to upskill mums to become salesforce professionals. Our mission was to support women returners, champion women into tech and support equality in the workplace.

Four years on we have created a unique model that is more important than ever.

We are able to charities cost effective solutions with the support of Supermum volunteers. So far we have provided 168 charities with £558k of pro-bono support.

At the same time we have upskilled 168 mums as salesforce professionals and help them to successfully secure more resilient, flexible, well-paid job roles within the charity or commercial sector. Many of our mums have gone on to become part-time salesforce administrators for our charity clients, which helps the charities to manage their system long term.

We are so proud of our model and our sister social enterprises. We are operating at a time when unemployment is high and women are disadvantaged, so we are training mums who desperately need a new career choice, whilst at the same time helping charities to get up and running with digital solutions as they embrace a new virtual world and way of working.
